Floods in Semarang

 Floods in Semarang

On Friday last week, students were supposed to go to school that morning but had to be given the day off because several areas in Semarang experienced flooding. Many students were late because they were affected by the flood. It's not only the students at my school who are late, but many of my friends from other schools also leave late because of the heavy traffic.

In the morning when I finished sahur, I read the WhatsApp group to see if there was any information about school today. Because yesterday, on Thursday, learning was carried out online. Which results in students being confused about online or face-to-face learning on Fridays. Because even on Thursday the information was late.

When I finished performing the Fajr prayer, I asked my father whether today was online or face-to-face learning. Dad was also a little confused because information can now change quickly. My father answered face-to-face learning and told me to take a shower and get ready to go to school. Even though I already had a hunch that this morning the learning would definitely be held online.

I was ready to go to school. When Sam arrived at school, I rushed to my classroom. When I got to class it turned out I was still alone. None of my friends have left yet. Even though the highway I was on was already busy with vehicles.

A few minutes after I sat down, my friend finally arrived. He thought he was late for school. Because the roads in my friend's house are also full of vehicles. He rushed to school and ran to class. Even though there were only two of us in the class I was in.

After the two of us sat down and chatted, I took out the drawing tool. I drew assignments that I had not completed while chatting with my friends. After I drew a few pictures, my friends started to arrive, although there were no more than 13 children. They also told about the incident that they had just experienced.

After my friends and I told about what happened this morning. Suddenly my friend from building 2 class told me that today's learning was online. My friends were also disappointed because they were in a hurry to leave home so they wouldn't be late for school. Finally they played at my friend's house who was still at home.

After my friends had gone home, I told my friend majoring in Visual Communication Design whether he wanted to play first or go home. He said let's play for a while then we'll go home. Finally I walked to his class. When I arrived at my friend's class, he was doing today's assignment from his teacher because it turned out that today was online learning. After about 2 hours of being in my friend's class, I finally went home because I remembered that there would be Friday prayers because today is Friday.

The conclusion of this story is, we should not spread information whose clarity is uncertain so that it does not become a mistake for other people. One more thing, don't like to give information suddenly, because it will definitely result in disappointment for people who have too high expectations. We still have to worship and submit to Allah so that we can be avoided and protected from various disasters.
